Event Recap

Rochester Region NY EWGA 2016 Kick-Off... Go For The Green!

The Rochester EWGA Chapter swung into gear at our Kick Off Brunch on Saturday, March 19th at Brook Lea Country Club.  It was great to see everyone again and meet many new members of our chapter.    Brook Lea took wonderful care of us with a delicious brunch.

This year we were captivated by guest speaker Tessa Teachman, a member of the 2016 Symetra Tour.  Webster, New York is her hometown, and her home base is now in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.   You may have seen her on Big Break Myrtle Beach.   She has had a wonderful life and loves the travel, friendships and golf!   Look for Tessa this summer at the Danielle Downey Credit Union Classic on July 11-17, 2016 at Brook Lea Country Club.  Thank you to Mike Vadala, Tournament Chairman for the Classic for sharing with us about Danielle Downey and what an inspiration she is to young women golfers.

If you would like to volunteer for this event, please see http://danielledowneyclassic.com for more information.  Last year’s tournament was a great event and a lot of fun for those who volunteered.

2016 EWGA Wine Networking Event

A fun time was had by all at Apogee's wine bar on Park Avenue.

We reconnected with our golf buddies, talked about fun times on the golf course, and planned for a successful golf season for 2016.

Of course, we are all going to play more golf AND better golf!!!   It was good to see everyone and find out what everyone has been up to since fall.

2015 EWGA Holiday Networking
The Melting Pot

The EWGA Rochester Chapter had a wonderful holiday get together at The Melting Pot!  We were served delicious cheese and chocolate fondue all night long.

This event was also a fundraiser for the Sojourner House. Since these families are in transitional housing, there is nothing like a warm fresh bed to make them feel at home. The Sojourner House went home with donations of new bedding such as pillows, sheets and comforters and monetary donations. All proceeds from this event will go to support the Sojourners children's holiday party this weekend.  For more information please see their website:  www.sojournerhouse.org
